New Tomb Raider set for Autumn 2005 release

You know, I am beginning to think that a good portion of my blog post are really ay way to send links to my husband. Like this, for example:

Tomb Raider 7 to be unveiled in Autumn

Eidos has confirmed Tomb Raider 7 - under development by U.S.-based studio Crystal Dynamics - "will be unveiled this autumn and is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of the current financial year." The statement was made as part of Eidos' posted Preliminary Results in which the company registered a 2.9 million pound year-end net loss after sales slumped.

And further on that site, there's an indication that future games in the TR series will not be PS2 only, but may port (later, thankfully) to the XBOX.

All I can hope is that it's better than Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness for gameplay. The storyline was okay, but gameplay sucked major donkey balls.

And here's hoping they'll keep Kurtis Trent!
